Math is not only speed. Math is seeing patterns. When children see how numbers sit on a chart, they feel calm and strong.
What is number sense?
Number sense means a child feels what numbers mean. Is 8 close to 10? Is 47 bigger than 39? These ideas matter more than rushing.
